The Service
Most building defects have a clear cause, once you stop looking at the symptom and start looking at the path to it.

Building defects are diagnostic problems. Cracks, damp, mould, condensation, leaks, settlement, façade decay. Each has its own pattern of causes, and the answer is almost always specific to the building.

What we investigate.

  • Damp, in all its varieties: penetrating, rising, condensation, lateral
  • Structural movement, cracking, deflection, settlement and subsidence
  • Façade defects, including masonry decay, render failure, and rainwater goods
  • Roof and rainwater issues, including flat roofs, valleys, and parapet detail
  • Condensation and mould, including ventilation and thermal bridging analysis
  • Specialist materials including RAAC, asbestos referrals, and reinforced concrete

Tools & methodology.

We use moisture meters, thermal imaging, endoscopes, and crack monitoring as appropriate. Where intrusive investigation is needed, we plan it and supervise it. We're equally willing to call in specialists where the answer needs them.

Our reports set out the symptoms, the diagnosis, the evidence, and the recommended remedial works, in that order. So the client can read it and the contractor can act on it.
